Cezanne Inspired Still Life

This week, 1st grade learned about Cezanne, and reviewed how to identify what a still life is. Students began by drawing their image using a black oil pastel. I demonstrated how to draw the bowl and overlapping apples. They then chose orange or pink for the background, and painted the table brown. Students used red, green, and yellow to paint their apples, and learned how to create a shine on them using white paint.

Artist: Cezanne
